  • Solar Design and Analysis is a full service architectural design firm specializing in climate responsive buildings and appropriate technologies.  We carry LEED Accreditation. Our work has been on the cutting edge of passive solar design for the past 30 years.
    Our team can take your dream project from concept, through various stages of design and working drawings, get it to bid and will follow the project to satisfactory completion.


    Mark's work has been published in various books and magazines. He was featured in an International Adobe Show at the Pompideu Centre in Paris in 1982. He has written and presented various  papers on Passive Solar Design at national and international technical conferences.

  • EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS


    Mark began Teaching Passive Solar Design in 1975 with Quentin Wilson, NNMC, and the Sundwellings Training Program at the Ghost Ranch in Abiquiu. He has continued teaching Climate Responsive Design at various school such as the Southwest Solar Adobe School, The Yestermorrow School in Vermont and the Ecoversity in Santa Fe.

Mark carries Architectural Licenses in four states as well as membership in many professional organizations:
